Monstruo / Monster

   Nos estamos  aficionando al Papel Mache, es una forma rapida y sencilla de convertir cualquier dibujo en un objeto tridimensional y las imperfecciones del papel le aportan cierto encanto infantil a la figura. Es necesario que un adulto ayude con las tijeras y el encintado, pero pegar los trozos de papel y pintar es perfecto para manos pequeñas.

    Este monstruo esta basado en un dibujo de Mattias y lo hicimos en una tarde. Como lo envolvimos en cinta de pintor solo necesito una capa de papel y se seco muy rapido encima del radiador. Ya esta pensando en otros modelos para crear un ejercito de monstruos invasores, niños...! 

Os dejo un pequeño tutorial por si alguien se anima:

    We are becoming fond of Papier Mache, it's a quick and easy way of transforming any drawing into a three-dimensional object and the imperfection of the paper gives a childish charm to the figure. A grown up  should help with the scissors and taping, but gluing the pieces of paper and painting is perfect for little hands.

      This monster was based in a drawing made by Mattias and we finished it in a few hours. It only needed a layer of paper because we covered it with masking tape and we put it to dry on top of the radiator. He is already thinking on different models to create an army of invading monsters, boys...!

This is a small tutorial if someone wants to do it:

1. Hacer una bola grande y otra pequena con papel de cocina / Make a big and a small ball with kitchen paper.

2. Envolverlas en papel de aluminio / Cover them with kitchen foil.

3. Unirlas cubriendolas completamente con cinta de pintor / Tape them together covering completely with masking tape.

4. Recortar un cuadrado en carton del tamaño que se quieran las piernas / Cut a carton square of the size you want the legs.

5.6.7.8. Despues de enrollarlo hacer cortes en un extremo para el pie y en el otro en forma de cruz para sujetarlo al cuerpo / Make a tube, then cut one side to make the foot and in the other side make a cross to attach to the body.

9. Unirlo a la bola grande con mas cinta de pintor y repetir 4,5,6,7,8 y 9 tantas veces como piernas tenga el monstruo / Attach to the bigger ball with more masking tape and repeat 4,5,6,7,8 y 9 as many times as legs has your monster.

10. Mezclar cola blanca y agua a partes iguales y trocear el papel de cocina / Mix equal parts of craft glue and water, and cut the kitchen paper into pieces.

11. Con un pincel pegar los trocitos de papel uno a uno hasta cubrir la figura por completo y poner a secar / Glue the pieces of paper with a paint brush, one by one, until the figure is covered completely an leave to dry.

12. Con rotulador negro dibujar los detalles y despues pintar / Draw the details with black marker and it's ready for painting.
