Otro florero / Another vase

   En casa siempre tenemos botes vacios de queso turco. Nos sirven para transportar coches 

(de juguete, claro!), guardamos pilas que seran recicladas, hemos hecho edificios... pero nunca pense en usarlos de florero porque no es un envase muy atractivo. Queda mucho mas bonito cubriendolo con la manga de un jersey que ya no me sirve (con la ropa que ya no me sirve podria hacer floreros para toda España...!).

   We have lots of empty turkish cheese containers. We've used them to transport cars (toy cars!), we keep batteries for recycling, we've made buildings with them... but since it's not a very attractive container I never used them as vases. It looks much better covered with a sleeve from a jumper that doesn't fit me anymore (I coul make vases for everybody in Spain with all the clothes that don't fit me anymore...!)

florero reciclado / recycled vase

   Reciclar es convertir un material viejo y ya usado en un producto nuevo, reduciendo asi el consumo de materiales nuevos. Una camiseta vieja y una botella de plastico se pueden convertir en un portalapices, o portapinceles  en este caso.

   Recycling is to transform an old and used material into a new product, reducing the consumption of new materials. An old t-shirt and a plastic bottle can be transform into a nice pencil holder, or, in this case, a brush holder.

Broches / Brooches

    Poco a poco van apareciendo cosas que hice en Londres y han estado guardadas en cajas hasta ahora, como estos broches de fieltro basados en unos personajes e ilustraciones mias de hace unos años.

El primero esta inspirado en mi abuela Maria con su pañuelo negro, sus medias de lana y su mandil.

Con Pipo empezo todo.

    Little by little some of the things I made in London and were still in boxes, are reappearing. Like these felt brooches based on caracters and illustrations I did years ago.  The first one was inspired by my grandmother Maria with her black head scarf,  thick wool tights and her apron.

Everything started with Pipo.

Tarta de cumpleaños / Birthday cake

     Con un tapon de plastico y papel mache, hemos hecho una tarta de cumpleaños de chocolate. La pintura todavia estaba fresca cuando echamos los gusanitos de colores y se derritieron un poco, la proxima vez habra que esperar a que seque y pegarlos despues.

     With a plastic lid and papier mache, we've made a chocolate birthday cake. The paint was still wet when we spread the sprinkles and they melted slightly, next time we'll have to apply them once it's completely dry.

Corazon de barro / Clay heart

   Otra utilidad para los corazones de barro perfumados, colgarlos y que sirvan de ambientador. En un espacio abierto no desprenden tanto olor pero quedan bonitos...

    Another use for the perfumed clay hearts, hanging as air fresheners. They don't smell so much in an open space but they look cute...
